at a different time. but large enough to do the job. how can mitt romney praise the marshall plan if he is so disdainful of the stimulus. what was wrong with the same concept in 2008? the $26 billion or so spent on the marshall plan is roughly the same as the $787 billion stimulus of 2009. the marshall plan was about 2% of our gdp, the stimulus was just a bit more and given the $2 trillion plus in production lost during the crisis, so have an effect as profound as the marshall plan the stimulus would v been even larger. the attacks by mitt romney ring hollow once the rhetoric is gone. romney understands that the marshall plan was critical to the recovery of europe and so to was the stimulus plan for our bounce back in 2008. so if it was good enough for europe in 1945 and worked for us in 2008 maybe romney should stop with the fake criticism. like too much else in his campaign. there is smoke and mirrors and no substance. that's my view. ♪ ♪ ♪ i find myself at the wrong place ♪ [ male announcer ] the ram 1500 express. ♪ ♪ it says a lot about you. ♪ ♪ i

romney opposed economic plan is a $5 trillion tax cut that favors the wealthiest american. he has been pitching that plan for an entire year. he stood up on stage in one of his debates and probably promised this tax cut would include the top 1%. but most of the economists have crunched the numbers and they said paying for governor romney opposed tax plan either means going up the deficit or raising taxes on middle-class family. one or the other. then last week mitt romney actually said there's no economist who can say mitt romney's tax plan is $5 trillion. he says that if he says it's not true then it's not true. ok. [applause] it's true then it will not add to the deficit, that leaves one option, asking middle-class families to get rid of the deduction they get for having a home or raising their kids or sending them to college. most folks don't like that idea either. just last week when we were on stage together governor romney decided that instead of changing his plan he would just pretended did not exist. what $5 trillion tax cut? i don't know anything about a $5 trillion tax cut? w

numbers guys, their plan for defense spending looks like this. ta da! that's what mitt romney is proposing for military spending. an otherwise enormous amount of money. this is what they are planning on doing. the highest level of military spending since the korean war. because, you know, forget your hope and change. what the country needs is math, math, math. how does the ticket plan to balance this giant plus sign contained in their plan? this massive increase in government spending. where does the minus come from if they want to increase spending by that much? this was the scene today in a place called van meter, iowa. this is what greeted mitt romney today as he campaigned. fight big banks, not big bird. 99% of cookies are e eaten by 1% of monsters. make wall street pay, not sesame striet. members of an iowa citizens group dressed in sesame street costumes. they were there to laugh at his suggestion that his plan to cut the deficit is to cut off funding for pbs. this has become a full-fledged thing in the campaign now. the obama campaign today releasing
